About Splinter Group

The Splinter Group trilogy is set in the universe of 'Escape Velocity: Override', a game by Ambrosia Software. At first glance it's a low-budget space-trading Elite clone... but Escape Velocity grows on you. It's got dozens of missions, ships and upgrades.

The latest incarnation, 'Escape Velocity: Nova' isn't really as good, but it is available for Windoze, and there's a plugin that means you can play EV:O in the Nova game engine. Why not give it a go? If enough people get to know about EV:O, I might add a suitably-themed are to Wormhole MUD.
