This area is a tribute to Julian Gollop's classic 8-bit computer game, Rebelstar [1], although it also includes some of the characters (and a starship) from an even older, less famous game called Rebelstar Raiders [2].

Rebelstar on the Sinclair Spectrum

The setting is an old mining station where Omnicorp have concealed their I.S.A.A.C. mainframe, a computer that has been cracking the Rebels' codes. An assault team from the infamous 'Rebelstar' system has been sent to destroy the computer... and you're welcome to join them.

The area spans two game zones, in order to have enough rooms to reproduce the map from the original game as faithfully as possible. It's quite heavily scripted... don't forget to give the Rebel combat droids vocal instructions.

Easter eggs:

• The ghost of Corporal Jonlan really is a ghost. Every wall in the zone was actually coded as a hidden 'door' (that's always shut and can't be bashed through), and since Jonlan's race is "illusion", he's allowed to pass through the doors while they're shut. Try following him sometime...
• Get a condom from the vending machines. Go on... you know you want to.
