Gunsmith

This skill allows you to check out firearms and learn something about them, including the damage that they do. (The Identify psi power won't tell you this.) Gunsmith also gives you an idea of the value of the item, like Appraise. To use the skill, type gunsmith <item>.

Since you have to examine the item closely before you reach any conclusions, using this skill costs a few movement points.
