Bartertown

When the local oasis of life is a place like Bartertown, you know you're in trouble. But rebuilding takes time, and the steps along the way aren't always pleasant. Still, there's electricity, water (some of it potable), and plenty of ways to get in trouble. Just watch out for the Thunderdome, a local arena surrounded by chants that, indeed, two men may enter but only one shall leave.

The real treasures that can be found, however, lie well outside Bartertown's borders. Beyond the snakes and endless sand dunes, beyond the shade of a long-since crashed airplane, there lies a small village. Provided you treat the people kindly, they'll do the same. Of course, if you're looking for trouble, they aren't by any means defenseless.
